situated within a maximum radius of 50 kilometres.

distances. Four new golf courses are currently under
construction. The golf courses have been designed by

de Golf de Bandama: Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas. The island
played a pioneering role with regard to golf in Spain, as the
first golf course in the country was built at Escaleritas in
1891, followed by another in Bandamas in 1957. The first
members of the Club Decano de España (known today as Real
Club de Golf de Las Palmas) were members of the English colony
on Gran Canaria, providing another example of the strong
influence that Britain had on the birth of the island´s
