This weather produces a rich and varied flora, with many island species wich are the only one existence in the world. Lastly, the history has left its trace, above all in the old villages of the city, with is colonial air, and also in the coast castles, wich defended the inhabitants of the island of Gran Canaria against the many pirates attacks, who plied the seas.
